Binder Clips...no longer just for use in the office!

One of my favorite organizing tools are binder clips. These cute little clips now come in a variety of colors, sizes and styles, perfect for using all over the house.

In the kitchen:
  • Instead of using "Chip-Clips" that are typically made of plastic and at least in my home break easily (I have two boys), use a binder clip to keep that chip or snack bag closed, and snacks fresh.
  • Two binder clips make a great stand for your recipe card, keeping it vertical, and less likely to get dripped on.
  • Attach a small but strong magnet, and you have a great way to organize menus, coupons, or kids art work on the fridge.
In the bathroom:
  • A binder clip is great to put to the "squeeze" on your toothpaste.  Simply roll up the bottom and clip for an easier squeeze.[via Funny or Die]
  • Got samples of shampoos, conditioners or lotions in squeeze packs?  Use a binder clip to keep your sample stash neat and ready to tuck in your toiletry bag for travel.
 Home office:
  • Organize your computer or other electronic device cords.  Simply thread your cord through the silver handle (or remove handle, put cord in, and replace for larger cords), then clip to the edge of your desk.  No more fishing behind the desk for your cords! [via Lifehacker]
  • Use binder clips to sort mail into quick categories:  Bills, Correspondence, Recycling and To File.
Got any other uses for binder clips?  Please share!
